Easier walks, with more of the training handled for you.
I come to your home and work with your dog three times a week. Then we meet for one weekly lesson so you can use what your dog is learning.
You attend one lesson a week. I handle the three individual training visits—you don’t need to be home.
Four-week program serving Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, and Milton.

We’ll talk about your walks, answer your questions, and see whether an assessment makes sense.
Your dog pulls. Every distraction becomes a struggle. Seeing another dog means changing direction and hoping you have enough room.
You want things to improve, but practicing can be difficult when you’re already trying to get through the walk.
With Walk & Train, I take on more of that initial work, then help you carry it forward.

We arrange access beforehand, so I can come while you’re at work or going about your day.
We begin somewhere your dog can learn—perhaps your yard, driveway, or a quiet neighborhood street.
We work on walking with a loose leash, checking back in, changing direction, and responding around distractions.
As your dog progresses, we practice in different places. The pace depends on your dog.
You’ll receive brief updates or videos so you can see what we’re working on.
At your weekly lesson, you take the leash.
I’ll show you what your dog has been learning and coach you through handling, timing, and what to do when things get difficult.
You’ll receive a short written recap with clear practice instructions. Each week, we’ll check how things are going and adjust.
All four owner lessons are scheduled before we begin.
“Phil, our 95 lb German Shepherd, was reactive toward dogs and people in and out of the home. Walks were stressful, and dog walkers were not comfortable taking him out. After working with James, Phil no longer barks or lunges at other dogs on walks, is more relaxed at home, and we now have calm, even fun, walks together.”

This program may suit you if your dog struggles with pulling, overexcitement, or everyday distractions—and you want professional help establishing walking skills.
Some reactive dogs may also benefit. We’ll assess your dog first and discuss whether this arrangement fits your needs.
You’ll still need to practice between owner lessons. I’ll give you a manageable place to start.
We begin with a $195 in-home assessment, lasting 75–90 minutes.
We’ll discuss your goals, work with your dog, and decide whether Walk & Train is a good fit. You’ll receive practical guidance and a written plan whether or not you continue.
If you enroll, your $195 payment counts toward the $1,800 program total. Your remaining balance is $1,605.
$1,800 total
17 appointments altogether. You attend the assessment and four owner lessons. I handle the 12 individual training visits with your dog.
Training visits and owner lessons last approximately one hour. Weekly owner lessons are required and scheduled before the program begins.
You don’t need to commit to a program before we talk.
Tell me what’s happening and what you’d like to become easier. I’ll explain whether I think Walk & Train would help and what the next step involves.
